Hi i know it s a bit desperate to avoid marking keen but i ve just made the christmas cake today and want to decorate the top with glazed fruit and nuts instead of royal icing.
Are there any domestic goddesses on here who know how this is done.
Do you toast the nuts first.
Melt 2 tbsp of apricot jam and brush over the cake.
Or you can go all out stack two cakes with buttercream and top with the fruit and nut crust.
